Project In Progress – March 2024

The 2023-2024 Passivhaus conversion of a building originally constructed in 1875 was a complex project. Because much of the detail that went into the job is hidden in the finished building, we thought it would be helpful to capture a ‘digital twin’ of the building before work was completed, so that the ‘flesh and bones’ of the structure can be seen, not hidden by the ‘skin’ of the internal finish.

Click below to take a virtual tour of Warksburn Old Church under construction. This data was captured in March 2024, after completion of the waterproofing, insulation and airtightness membrane to the external walls, but before the Passivhaus windows and doors had been installed in the relevant apertures in the internal stud work.

Zooming in the 3D model reveals the extraordinary attention given our builder David Reed and his team to the complex details of the job. These include foam insulation between the many hundred of PIR panels and airtightness membrane sealing at complex interfaces between the historic original building and new construction elements.
