"Anne and Alan are amazing hosts, the church is an incredible stay, amazing slice of history and modern architecture combined. The garden was perfect for stargazing, the property was perfect all the way from the windows to the lighting. I have allergies involving feather and duck down. Anne was amazing and accommodated my allergies. Alan and Anne were more than happy to answer all my questions about the property and I really enjoyed chatting about their challenges completing this magnificent church renovation project. I’d really recommend this property to all simply for its uniqueness. I look forward to my next stay here! Thank you very much Anne and Alan."

"A stunning property in a lovely, quiet location. Everything in the house was of very high quality and spotless. Anne and Alan were great hosts, greeting us on arrival and giving us an informed tour of the property. A lovely place to celebrate a family birthday. The documentary of the transformation of the church was fascinating. The technology in this passivhaus was very impressive. We will definitely return."

Upholding all the original charm and character of the building, yet internally equipped with all the modern amenities of something years ahead of it's time. Warm, inviting, immaculately clean and furnished to the highest of standards. Perfectly situated to explore the Northumbrian wilderness, or just stay indoors fixated on the stained glass windows. "This really is a unique place to stay. The conversion is a wonderful achievement, both technically and aesthetically. Everything is provided to give guests a top quality experience. Added to that, Anne and Alan are most welcoming and do all they can to provide information and advice on the local area and the things to do. We very much enjoyed meeting them (especially seeing Anne’s ceramics studio) and our time at Warksburn Old Church."

"WOC was simply spectacular. A fabulous church, converted with the highest spec - everything feels luxurious and special, and it's comprehensively and thoughtfully equipped. Cosy beds, great showers, comfy sofas. Lovely walks from the doorstep and stargazing a minute's walk away. Anne and Alan are wonderful hosts, welcoming and kind. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough- it's just perfect."

"What a lovely experience. From booking till after departure Anne and Alan were helpful and attentive. Communication was great. The church is lovely and really has that wow factor while still having a lovely homely feel when you come in from and wet windy walk. Everywhere was super clean and the kitchen had everything you’d need. Real treat and would recommend to anyone! The surrounding area is gorgeous, lots of lovely walks and places to eat!"
